The hotel offers pricey rooms with sleep number beds, which could use some updating. Despite my personal dislike for these beds, I should have gone with my gut and booked at the Hampton Inn. The service was accommodating with a late checkout request but fell short with communication challenges. The location is near downtown with some charm but not ideal for swimming on July 4th. The dining was decent but could have been better. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some highs and lows.
The hotel room was a bit dirty but had a microwave and refrigerator, although we had to dust them ourselves. The bed was super comfy, making it an excellent place to stay.
The hotel is located right next to the river, offering a peaceful and charming setting off the beaten path but still close enough to enjoy the downtown area of San Angelo. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet, making for a comfortable stay. The service provided by the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the dining experience had some shortcomings with breakfast inconsistencies. Overall, a great value for the money with surprising quality.
